Air system
(1) Air reservoirs
(2) Relay valve for the air start
(3) Air start solenoid valve
(4) Air start motor When the operator turns the keyswitch to the START position, the chassis ECM will activate solenoid valve (3). When solenoid valve (3) is activated, air will enter air start motor (4) from air reservoirs (1). The air that enters air start motor (4) forces a drive gear into the flywheel. Air will then travel to relay valve (2). The air pressure will activate relay valve (2) and relay valve (2) will open a passage from air reservoirs (1) to air start motor (4).
