Reverse Lock Adjustment Procedure:1. Disconnect rod assembly (3) from pawl assembly (1).2. Put transmission in neutral position. Put pawl control lever in position to engage the pawl.3. Measure length of spring (4).4. Put pawl control lever in position to not engage the pawl.5. Measure length of spring (5).6. The lengths of the two springs should be the same, if they are not the same, adjust rod (2) to get the lengths the same.7. Connect rod assembly (3) to pawl assembly (1).8. Adjust rod assembly (3) to get a clearance of .88 in. (22.4 mm), dimension (A), between pawl assembly (1) and drum ratchet with the pawl control lever in position to not engage the pawl.
