The cylinders are located on the side of the frame. The 824G Wheel Tractor has two cylinders. Each cylinder should be isolated for a proper test.Use the following procedures in order to measure the rod drift.
Determine the temperature of the hydraulic oil.
Raise the blade of the machine until the cutting edge is approximately 25.4 mm (1 inch) off of the ground.
Position the blade so the tilt cylinders are extended half of the way.
Tilt the blade of the machine so that the right front wheel of the machine is off of the ground. Measure the extended length of the right cylinder rod. Compare the times with the following chart. Perform the same procedure for the left cylinder.

Loose connections of oil lines and/or deteriorating hoses between the implement control valve and the cylinders
Leakage around the piston seals in the cylinders.
The spool of the implement valve may be worn.
The implement valve section may be worn.
