Use Tooling (A) in order to lower the right side bucket link (1) onto the boom (5).
Repeat Steps 3 through 7 for the left side bucket link.

Place suitable cribbing under tilt cylinder (6), as shown.

Use the machine's hydraulics in order to slowly retract tilt cylinder (6) onto the cribbing.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".

Attach Tooling (C) to the boom links, as shown.
Attach suitable lifting chains to the Tooling (C) and a suitable lifting sling to tilt cylinder (6).
Attach a suitable hoist to the lifting chains and the sling. The combined weight of the tilt cylinder and linkage assembly is 1860 kg (4100 lb).

Right Side
Remove bolts (7), the washers, and plate (8) from the F-pin.

Remove O-ring seal (9) from F-pin (10).

Left Side
Remove bolt (13), the washer, and plate (14) from the F-pin.
Remove two bolts (12), the washers, and plate (11).
Remove plate (15).

Typical Example
Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting chain to Tooling (D). The weight of Tooling (D) is 204 kg (450 lb).
Install Tooling (D) on either end of the F-pin, as shown.
Use Tooling (D) in order to remove the F-pin.
Tooling (D) will capture the F-pin when the pin is removed. The weight of the F-pin is 91 kg (200 lb). The combined weight of Tooling (D) and of the F-pin is 295 kg (650 lb).

Disconnect hydraulic hose assemblies (16) and (19).
Carefully disconnect safety cables (17) and (18).

Disconnect grease line (20).

Remove two bolts (21), the washers, and plate (22).

Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling to Tooling (B). The weight of Tooling (B) is 80 kg (175 lb).
Install Tooling (B) on the end of G-pin (23), as shown.
Use Tooling (B) in order to remove G-pin (23). Tooling (B) will capture the G-pin when the pin is removed. The weight of the G-pin is 50 kg (110 lb).
Use the hoist in order to remove Tooling (B) and the G-pin from the machine.

Use the hoist in order to remove tilt cylinder (6) and linkage assembly (24). The combined weight of the tilt cylinder and linkage assembly is 1860 kg (4100 lb).
If removal of the lip seals and the bearings from the tilt cylinder is necessary, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Cylinder - Remove" for the correct procedure.
