Disassembly of Former Sprocket Segments:
1. Refer to service manual module to remove sprocket segments.
Do not use former bolt and nut arrangement with the new sprocket segments. Bolt loosening and sprocket retention problems will result.
Installation of New Sprocket Segments:
Illustration 11. Install sprocket segment (1) and (2) to final drive (referring to service manual module).2. Install plate-nut strip (3) to outside sprocket segments (1) and (2), See Illustration 1. Lubricate bolts (5) with 5P-3931 Anti-seize prior to assembly.3. Assemble bolts (5) with washers (4) to final drive, sprocket segment (1) and (2), and plate-nut strip (3).4. Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 300 55 N m (222.00 41 lb ft) (D8L) or 340 68 N m (252 50 lb ft) (D9L). Tighten bolts (5) an additional 120 degrees.
