Remove bearing cone (26) from shaft assembly (24). Remove O-ring seals (25) and shim (27).

Remove rotating assembly (28) from housing (3). Carefully retain rotating assembly (28) in housing (3). Turn rotating assembly (28) upside-down. Slowly lift housing (3) off rotating assembly (28).

Remove plate (29) and pistons (30) from barrel assembly (31).

Remove retaining ball (32) from barrel assembly (31).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to compress spring (34) until the retaining ring (32) can be removed from barrel assembly (31). Slowly release the pressure on the suitable press because of the spring pressure. Remove spring (34), retaining disc (35), and pressure pins (36).

Remove plug (37) and the O-ring seal from pump housing (3).

Remove piston (38) from housing (3).
Illustration 16 g02930318Note: The rod is engaged in the socket by the edges of the socket. Extreme care must be used in order to disengage the rod from the socket. Remove the actuator rod out of the smooth shaped socket.
Angle swashplate (39) so rod (40) extends out of the bore. Remove rod (40) from the socket in swashplate (39).

Remove screws (43) and bearings (44).
Remove bearing cup (45) from the pump housing.
