Remove the right hand 316-7176 Plate (1), 316-7181 Plate (2), and 316-7175 Baffle (3). Baffle will be replaced by a new part, but plates must be kept for reassembly.
Repeat same operation on left-hand side of the machine.

Use markings done on Illustration 3 to pre-locate these new brackets as shown on Illustration 5 .

(W1) 3 mm (0.121 inch) fillet weld.
Weld top of brackets, applying a 3 mm (0.121 inch) fillet weld all around perimeter of slots as shown in Illustration 6. No need to fill slots as plug welds, that will create excessive heat.

Paint brackets after welding is complete.

(E) New 10 mm (0.40 inch) drill hole.
Install the new 457-2225 Bracket and 457-2226 Bracket . The mounting hole for the 316-7175 Baffle will not fit in the same location. Therefore, prior to reinstalling the 316-7175 Baffle , mark the location of this hole, and drill a 10 mm (0.40 inch) hole to accommodate the new baffle. See Illustration 8 .
