SR4 GeneratorsA new FT1555 Generator Rotor Removal Tool (see the illustration) is available for use on SR4 Generators which are used with large engines such as the D379, D398, D399, 3412 and 3500 Series Engines. The lifting tool is used to remove and install the rotor assembly.
The FT1555 Generator Rotor Removal Tool makes it easier to remove and install the rotor assembly. Also, correct use of the tool prevents possible damage to the stator and windings on the rotor assembly.
Make reference to the Service Manual, Form No. SENR7958 for correct use of this tool.
