Component Code: 1050SUBJECT: BOLTS FOR THE MUFFLER BRACKET MAY BECOME LOOSE
PROBLEM:
The bolts (1) that secure the muffler bracket (3) to the engine cylinder head may become loose. This can cause excessive damage to the exhaust components. See Figure 1.
SOLUTION:
Replace the existing bolts (1) and washers (2) with the replacements listed in the following table. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 60 +/- 12Nm or (44 +/- 9 ft/lb).
