Illustration 1 g06244334The track roller frame may crack at the e-bar brackets on machines listed above. This issue affects machines only with the longer 8 bottom roller track roller frames. All the machines listed above have the longer track roller frames.As shown in Illustration 1, on some track roller frames, the vertical welds did not run the full vertical length of the e-bar bracket as required. It is important that, the two vertical welds, one on each side of the e-bar bracket, run the full length from top to bottom.Note: The above issue does not affect machines with the shorter 7 bottom roller track roller frames.Solution
Check to ensure that the e-bar brackets are welded to the track roller frame properly. If you encounter a machine with cracks at the e-bar support, contact Caterpillar Dealer Solution Network (DSN) for further instructions.
