(1) Hook winch
(2) Boom winch Boom winch (2) is mounted directly above hook winch (1). Boom winch (2) and hook winch (1) are centrally located on the right side of the tractor.

(3) Control manifold (motor flushing)
(4) Control manifold (flushing valve) Control manifold (motor flushing) (3) is located on the winch frame between the winch motors. The manifold controls the oil that flushes through the winch motors when the winches are lowering.Control manifold (flushing valve) (4) is located on the pipelayer frame behind the winches. The flushing valve controls the oil that flushes through each of the pilot control valves when the implement lockout valve is in the UNLOCKED position.

(5) Hook and boom pilot control valve The hand control lever for the pilot control valve is located on the right-hand console. Pilot control valve (5) controls the winch functions. When the control lever is moved forward, the hook will lower. When the control lever is moved backward, the hook will raise. When the control lever is moved left, the boom will lower. When the control lever is moved right, the boom will raise.

(6) Control manifold (implement lockout)
(7) Control manifold (quick-drop and brake) Control manifold (implement lockout) (6) is located under the platform. The manifold is mounted on the right fender of the tractor. The manifold also contains a boom kick-out solenoid that activates when the boom is raised to the vertical position. When the solenoid is activated, the hydraulic oil is blocked. If the oil is blocked, the boom winch cannot raise the boom any further. There are two additional solenoids in the control manifold. At this time the solenoids are not used.

(7) Control manifold (quick-drop and brake) Control manifold (quick-drop and brake) (7) is located on the right fender behind a bolt on cover. The quick-drop valve is used to assist the quick-drop function. The quick-drop valve is also part of the dead engine lower system. If the engine will not start, stored pressure from the accumulator opens the quick-drop valve and allows the hook winch to lower the load.The hydraulic tank and two filters are located on the left rear corner of the tractor.
