Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact the skin. Be sure that the engine and components are cool enough to touch with your bare hand prior to performing any service work.
1. Remove four nuts (5), four bolts (1), shims (3), and bearing cap (4) from rod assembly (2). 2. Mark and identify all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Disconnect two hose assemblies (6) from cap assembly (7). 3. Disconnect two hose assemblies (9) from blade lift cylinder (8). Cap and plug all connections to avoid system contamination. 4. Position a lifting sling to blade lift cylinder (8) as shown. Secure the lifting sling to a hoist. Remove four bolts (10), the washers, two cap assemblies (7), and blade lift cylinder (8) from yoke (11). The weight of blade lift cylinder (8) is 132 Kg (290 lb). The following steps are for the installation of the blade lift cylinder.5. Make sure all components of the blade lift cylinder are clean of dirt and foreign material prior to installation.6. Check all components for wear or damage and replace if necessary. 7. Using a lifting sling, install blade lift cylinder (8) to yoke (11). Install four bolts (10), two cap assemblies (7), and the washers to yoke (11). The weight of blade lift cylinder (8) is 132 Kg (290 lb). 8. Connect two hose assemblies (9) to blade lift cylinder (8). 9. Connect two hose assemblies (6) to cap assembly (7). 10. Extend rod assembly (2) to drawbar assembly (12).
Make sure the two bolts are tightened evenly before checking the gap.
11. Install cap bearing (4), two bolts (1), and two nuts (5) to rod assembly (2). Measure the thickness of the gap between cap bearing (4) and rod assembly (2) as shown. Install the shims in order to equal the distance of the gap plus .1 .1 mm (.004 .004 in). This is the required shim thickness. Remove cap bearing (4), two nuts (5), and two bolts (1) from rod assembly (2). 12. Install shims (3), cap bearing (4), four bolts (1), and four nuts (5) to rod assembly (2).13. Check the fluid level of the hydraulic tank.
