This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs.The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS52802" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the 30Oct2014 (Revised 28Sep2015) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Affected Product.

PROBLEM
The EMCP overlay buttons may fail to operate on certain C2.2, C4.4, C6.6, C7.1, C9, C13, C15, C18, C27, C32, 3406C 3412C, G3406, G3412, 3512, 3512B, 3512C, 3516, 3516B, 3516C, C175-16, and C175-20 Generator Sets, PM3512, PM3516, and PMG3516C Power Modules. The failure results in operators being unable to navigate through the controller overview and configuration menus or non operation of the Run, Stop and Auto buttons. This failure mode is not to be confused with a software reset issue while in Reduced Power Mode referenced in Engine News, SEBD9946, "A New Electronic Control Module (ECM) Is Available for Certain C7 - C18 Engines".
