Remove the Transmission, the Input Transfer Gears and the Output Transfer Gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission, Input Transfer Gears and Output Transfer Gears - Remove".

Attach lower support assemblies (4) to output transfer gears (3) . Position input transfer gears (1) , transmission (2) , and output transfer gears (3) onto suitable blocking. The weight of input transfer gears (1) , transmission (2) , and output transfer gears (3) as a unit is approximately 1406 kg (3100 lb).Note: The lower support assemblies (4) were removed from output transfer gears (3) during removal.

Remove yoke assembly (5) . Remove bolts (6) in order to remove plate (7) . Remove tube assembly (8) .

Remove gasket (9) . Remove bolt (10) and plate (11) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to input transfer gears (1) . The weight of input transfer gears (1) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Remove bolts (12) and remove input transfer gears (1) from transmission (2) .

Remove O-ring seal (13) from transmission (2) .

Disconnect harness assembly (14) from output transfer gears (3) . Remove tube assembly (14A) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to transmission (2) . The weight of transmission (2) is approximately 725 kg (1600 lb).
Remove bolts (15) . Do NOT remove bolts (16) . Remove transmission (2) from output transfer gears (3) .
