Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to transmission (2) . The weight of transmission (2) is approximately 725 kg (1600 lb).
Install transmission (2) to output transfer gears (3) . Install bolts (15) . Tighten bolts (15) to a torque of 270 40 N m (200 30 lb ft).Note: Bolts (16) were not removed when transmission (2) was removed from output transfer gears (3) .

Connect harness assembly (14) to output transfer gears (3) . Install tube assembly (14A) .

Install O-ring seal (13) to transmission (2) .

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to input transfer gears (1) . The weight of input transfer gears (1) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb). Install input transfer gears (1) onto transmission (2) and install bolts (12) .

Install plate (11) and install bolt (10) . Tighten bolt (10) to a torque of 120 15 N m (89 11 lb ft). Install gasket (9) .

Install plate (7) and install bolts (6) . Tighten bolts (6) to a torque of 55 10 N m (41 7 lb ft). Install yoke assembly (5) . Install tube assembly (8) .

Remove lower support assemblies (4) from input transfer gears (1) , transmission (2) , and output transfer gears (3) .Note: The lower support assemblies (4) need to be removed for installation of input transfer gears (1) , transmission (2) , and output transfer gears (3) .End By: Install the Transmission, the Input Transfer Gears and the Output Transfer Gears. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission, Input Transfer Gears and Output Transfer Gears - Install".
