Screen for the LCG 1Select the program for the LCG 1 from the menu. The LCG Control Service Tool will appear for a short time. The LCG Control Service Tool will then disappear.This is the first screen that appears when the graphic user interface (GUI) is installed. Refer to illustration 41. To use the GUI flash tool, the user must have a LCG1 with a supported firmware revision. The user must have access to a valid configuration file.

The GUI supports firmware revisions. The dialog box in the center of the screen will indicate that a LC SPD/TOPPING configuration format will be used. If the system has a different configuration format, contact your Caterpillar dealer.IDENTITY CONTROL-. This Identifies the version of Firmware that is used by the LCG. Ensure that theLCG is connected to the computer via a Programming harness. IMPORT CONFIG FILE - opens an existing configuration file. Use the internet browser to select the desired file. (Configuration files use a *.lcs extension.)Note: In working with the LCG, the power must be cycled from time to time. The user will be prompted to turn power to the ON position or to the OFF position. If the power cycle is not completed in ten seconds, a message will appear. The message prompts the user to retry. The message also prompts the current activity to be stopped.Once a valid file or valid LCG has been identified, a screen is displayed. Refer to illustration 41. The box in the center of the screen determines the version of the LCG.
