Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Open hood (1).

Loosen clamp (3) and disconnect hose (2).

Remove bolts (5) and valve mechanism cover (4).

Remove seal (6) from the valve mechanism cover.

Remove screws (8), cap (7), and the O-ring seal.
Remove filler cap (9) and the O-ring seal.Installation Procedure
Install valve mechanism cover (4) in the reverse order of removal.Note: Lubricate the O-ring seals with a light coating of the engine oil.
Tighten filler cap (9) to a torque of 3.0 0.5 N.m (27.0 4.4 lb in).
Tighten screws (8) to a torque of 1.5 0.5 N.m (13.3 4.4 lb in).

Tighten bolts (5) to a torque of 22 N.m (195 lb in) in the sequence as shown.
Tighten clamp (3) to a torque of 5 N.m (44 lb in).
