Removal Procedure
Hot oil and hot components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or hot components to contact skin.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Open hood (1).

Loosen clamp (5) and disconnect hose (2).
Loosen clamp (4) and disconnect exhaust pipe (3).
Loosen clamp (7) and disconnect hose (6).

Remove banjo bolt (8) and disconnect the inlet pipe.
Remove bolts (10) and disconnect drain pipe (9).

Remove bolts (11), turbocharger (12), and the gasket.Installation Procedure
Install turbocharger (12) in the reverse order of removal.
