Removal Procedure
Start By:
Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
Remove the bottom transmission guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard (Transmission) - Remove and Install".

Remove bolts (6) and (7) from rear drive shaft (3).
Use a prybar to separate spiders (2) and (4) from yoke assemblies (1) and (5).
Remove rear drive shaft (1) from the machine. The weight of the rear drive shaft is approximately 14 kg (30 lb). Installation Procedure

Position the rear drive shaft in the machine. The weight of the rear drive shaft is approximately 14 kg (30 lb).
Connect spiders (2) and (4) to yoke assemblies (1) and (5) and to rear drive shaft (3).
Install bolts (6) and (7). The torque for bolts (6) and (7) is 60 10 N m (44 7 lb ft).
Lubricate the rear drive shaft. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure. End By:
Install the bottom transmission guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Bottom Guard (Transmission) - Remove and Install".
Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
