The Oil Cooler Control Monitor System provides monitoring information for the rear power train cooling filtration system, and controls a two speed fan based on the monitoring inputs. There are four inputs to the control on EMS trucks and three inputs to the control on VIMS trucks. The inputs are: differential oil temperature (on VIMS trucks this is already installed and obtained over the data link), cooler/filtration pump outlet pressure, rear differential oil level, and rear power train filter plug switch. On VIMS trucks, the control supplies this data to VIMS for display, while on EMS trucks, the monitor provides visual output for:1. High Differential Oil Temperature ... Activated when Differential Temperature > 124° C (255.2° F) and Deactivated < 120° C (248.0° F)2. Very High Differential Oil Temperature ... Activated when Differential Temperature > 135° C (275.0° F) and Deactivated < 130° C (266.0° F)3. Filter Plugged ... Activated when Differential Temperature > 60° C (140.0° F) and Filter Switch Open > Approximately 20 Seconds4. Low Pump Pressure ... Activated when Pump Pressure kPa (5 psi) and Speed > 24 km/h (14.9 mph)5. High Pump Pressure ... Activated when Pump Pressure > 689.00 kPa (100 psi) and Ground Speed km/h (1.2 mph)6. Fan Low Driver Failure/Short7. Fan Hi Driver Failure/Short8. System Voltage Low ... Activated when System Voltage VDC for 5 seconds9. Low Differential Oil Level ... Activated when Level Switch Open for > Approximately 20 Seconds on Startup or Bed RaiseThe digital display defaults to differential oil temperature. The display can be toggled using the operator mode switch to obtain pulp outlet pressure and total fan running hours. This operation, and servicing is identical to that described in SENR6717.The control/monitor differs from the SENR6717 operation in the area of operator alarms. The two output drivers on the control are used to drive two relays. The fan low relay provides power to a dropping resistor which is connected to the motor. The fan high relay provides power directly to the motor. The fan will operate at approximately 1/2 speed at low speed, and from 1600-2300 RPM at high speed depending on system voltage. The fan LOW relay is turned ON under the following conditions:1. Any time fan HI relay is turned ON.2. For one minute after the fan HI relay is turned OFF.3. For at least five minutes after it has been turned ON.4. If differential
