PROBLEM
The existing temperature sensor leads can be swapped on certain AP5000F and AP555F Asphalt Pavers. If the existing SCR and DOC sensor leads are incorrectly wired it can lead to inefficient operation of the engine aftertreatment system.

Rework Procedure
Open machines left access door.

Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

Access this area on the AP555F track paver.
Access on the AP500F wheeled paver may require removal of air filter assembly.

Verify machine connector CH-C30 is located in the upper position and is connected to the sensor lead from the DOC (Diesel Oxidation Catalysts)canister (lower canister).
Verify machine connector CH-C27 is located in the lower position and is connected to the sensor lead from the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction)canister (upper canister).
If the SCR and DOC sensor leads are wired incorrectly, carefully cut existing tie straps and reroute to correct machine connectors as shown.
Note: Be sure to maintain a gentle radius on the sensor wires and avoid kinks. Route sensor lead wires using tie straps as needed to prevent wires from rubbing on sharp edges.
