(26) Transmission solenoids (under cover)Transmission solenoids (26) are energized by Automation ICM (20). Automation ICM (20) energizes the appropriate solenoid valve for the required clutches for the speed and for the direction selected. Automation ICM (20) energizes transmission solenoids (26) using a Pulse Width Modulated (PWM) signal.

(28) Steering and bucket control valveSteering and bucket control valve (28) is located in the articulation area of the machine. Steering and bucket control valve (28) is used to steer the machine, and control the bucket and lift arm functions. Steering and bucket control valve (28) is controlled by a PWM signal from Automation ICM (20) .Note: An AIS enable signal is required for the machine to be operating in autonomous mode.

Typical example (11) Autonomous control switchAutonomous control switch (11) is located on the dash in the machine operator station. When Autonomous Control Switch (11) is in the OFF position, and Autonomous Control Enable Switch (16) is set to the MANUAL position, the machine can be driven manually from the machine operator station. When Autonomous Control Switch (11) is moved to the ON position, a 24 VDC signal is supplied to Automation ICM (20) and Power Train ECM (23). The MAS will not be enabled until Autonomous Control Switch (11) is moved to the ON position, and Autonomous Control Enable Switch (16) is moved to the AUTO position.

Typical example (10) AIS antenna (31) Red autonomous control warning light (32) Amber MAS warning lightRed autonomous control warning light (31) and amber MAS warning light (32) are powered by 24 VDC from Automation ICM (20) and are located at the rear of the machine operator station. Red autonomous control warning light (31) and amber MAS warning light (32) are used as a visual indication of the current automation status of the machine. When Autonomous Control Switch (11) is moved to the ON position and Autonomous Control Enable Switch (16) is moved to the AUTO position, red autonomous control warning light (31) and amber MAS warning light (32) will flash for 5 seconds as a test. After the five second test, red autonomous control warning light (31) will stop flashing and amber MAS warning light (32) will flash continuously. Indicating that the MAS is enabled.The machine will be in an autonomous mode when red autonomous control warning light (31) is flashing, and amber MAS warning light (32) is not flashing.AIS antenna (10) receives the incoming AIS enable RF signal via the AIS leaky feeder cable and the AIS antenna.

(9) Electrical converters (not shown)Electrical converters (9) are located above the hydraulic tank. Electrical converters (9) are used to maintain a constant conditioned 24 VDC supply to Automation ICM (20). Automation ICM (20) uses the conditioned voltage to power the MAS devices and drive the outputs.

(29) HornsHorns (29) are located near the hydraulic tank and are controlled by Automation ICM (20). Horns (29) operate in a sequence of 0.25 second on, 1 second off, 0.25 second when the machine is starting.
