TILT CYLINDER GROUP 7J9637 - Caterpillar

1. Fasten a hoist and remove the hood over the engine. Weight is 24 kg (53 lb.).2. Loosen the tension on the vee belts.3. Remove the two fan guards.4. Remove six bolts (1) that hold the adapter and fan as a unit to the fan drive. Put the unit against the radiator core assembly.
Do not cause damage to the radiator core assembly.
5. Remove four bolts (3) and remove fan drive (2).6. Fasten a strap and hoist to fan and remove fan. Weight is 24 kg (52 lb.).Install Fan Drive And Fan
1. Fasten a strap and hoist and put the fan in position in the radiator guard. Put fan drive (1) in position on the cylinder head. Install the bolts that hold it.2. Put the adapter and fan against the fan drive. Install the six bolts that hold it.3. Install the vee belts on the fan drive. 4. Install two fan guards (2).5. Make an adjustment to the vee belts. See V-Belt Tension Chart in Maintenance Guide.6. Fasten a hoist and install the hood over the engine.
