Be sure the hoist or jack has the correct capacity to lift a component. Install blocks or stands before performance of any work under a heavy component.Approximate weights of the components are shown. Clean all surfaces where parts are to be installed.
Note: Park the machine on a smooth, level surface before you perform any operations.
Inspect the sleeve bearings in the frame assembly for wear or for damage. Replace the sleeve bearings, if necessary.

Position a suitable lifting sling on body assembly (1). Secure the suitable lifting device to a hoist. Position body assembly (1) on the frame assembly, as shown. The weight of the body assembly is approximately 22080 kg (48685 lb).
Illustration 2 g00706972Note: Thrust washer (18) is located between the outside of frame assembly (16) and body assembly (1), as shown. Use the four millimeter thrust washer only if the six millimeter thrust washer will not fit in both places.
Insert pin assembly (17) through body assembly (1), thrust washer (18), and frame assembly (16).

Position plate (15) on body assembly (1). Install two bolts (14) and the hard washers that hold plate (15) in position.
Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 for the remaining pin assembly.

Position bracket (11) and magnet (12) as an assembly on the body assembly. Install two bolts (13) and the hard washers that hold bracket (11) to the body assembly.
Align magnet (12) with the electronic control. Refer to Hydraulic System, System Operation, Testing and Adjusting, "Electronic Control (Body Down or Up Switch) - Adjust".

Position a suitable lifting sling around the head end of hoist cylinder (7), as shown. Attach Tool (A) to the suitable lifting sling. Secure Tool (A) to the frame assembly. Use Tool (A) in order to raise the head end of hoist cylinder (7) into position, as shown. Install Tool (B) in order to align the bearing in the hoist cylinder with the holes in body assembly (1). Note: Tool (B) has a smaller diameter than the pin that is used to hold the head end of hoist cylinder (7) to the body assembly.

Position a spacer (not shown) on both sides of the bearing in hoist cylinder (7) inside body assembly (1). Install pin (10) through body assembly (1) and into the head end of the hoist cylinder, as shown. This will remove Tool (B) from the bearing. Make sure that the spacers are correctly positioned on pin (10). Note: Insert pin (10) with the notch upward.
Position plate (9) on pin (10). Install two bolts (8) and the hard washers that hold plate (9) to body assembly (1).
Repeat Step 8 through Step 10 for the remaining hoist cylinder.
