If desired, the new groups can be installed on earlier machines. Remove the suspension stops from the frame to prevent stresses on these stops. (But, do not later install the earlier cylinder groups, which are still serviced, if the stops have been cut off the frame.)
Both sides should be changed, and the new cylinder specification and a change to the charging procedure will apply. See following topic.

Refer to the following Service Manuals and make the listed changes.
...768C and 769C: SENR7801 and SENR2930-Suspension Cylinder Specifications Module, SENR7815-01, Page 7. Add the additional center-to-center pin distance in the illustration of 865.4-878.1 mm (34.07-34.57") for trucks with the 9T6086 Groups.
... 773B and 773B: SENR7855 and SENR2950-Suspension Cylinder Specifications Module, SENR7869-01, Page 7. Add the additional center-to-center pin distance in the illustration of 974.1-986.8 mm (38.35-38.85") for trucks with the 9T6082 Groups.
Also, make the following changes to Testing And Adjusting Modules in the above four Service Manuals.
... 768C and 769C: SENR7816-02, Testing And Adjusting, Page 9. Add dimension (A) in the text and under the illustration for the new dimension for the 768C Tractor and 769C Truck equipped with the 9T6086 Groups. Make same change to dimension (A) on Page 12. On Page 10, add this note after Step 5:
If equipped with the 9T6086 Cylinder Group, go on to Step 7. Do NOT add oil to extend the cylinder rod per Step 6 because the correct oil charge was obtained in Step 5 with these new cylinders.... 772B and 773B: SENR7870-02, Testing And Adjusting, Page 9. Add dimension (A) in the text and under the illustration as the new dimension for the 772B Tractor and 773B Truck equipped with the new 9T6082 Groups. Make same change to dimension (A) on Page 12. On Page 10, add this note after Step 5:
If equipped with the 9T6082 Cylinder Group, go on to Step 7. Do NOT add oil to extend the cylinder rod per Step 6 because the correct oil charge was obtained in Step 5 with these new cylinders.
