Apply 7M-7456 Compound to the threads of the nut.
Tighten the nut to the following torque: Torque ... 160 to 200 N m (118 to 148 lb ft)If the cotter pin can not be installed, turn the nut clockwise until the nearest slot in the nut is in alignment with the hole in the shaft. (10) Shims Install the shims in order to get the following clearance between the port plate and the impeller. ... 0.18 to 0.23 mm (0.007 to 0.009 inch)

Put clean water inside the seal assembly.
Use hand pressure in order to install the seal assembly on the shaft. Press the seal until the carbon face of the seal assembly makes contact with the shiny face of the ceramic seal. (12) Ring and water seal
