Engine3512C (S/N: LLA1-UP)Introduction
Do not perform any procedure in this Special Instruction until you have read the information and you understand the information. When Gas supply tanks, or gas shutoff valves, are placed in close proximity to the Generator packages, transients may be observed when the gas supply is exhausted, or shutoff, typically while under high loads and high substitution rates. The cause is due to rapid consumption of the gas in the system while transferring fuel usage to diesel only.To eliminate observed transients while transferring from Dynamic Gas Blending (DGB) to diesel only, a gas supply pressure monitor can be added to the operator control panel, that will also indicate an “external fuel tank low alarm” when activated. DGB will resume automatically when gas pressure is present, and the low event will automatically clear.Safety Section
Gaseous fuel is present. Personal Injury or Death can result from an open flame or spark igniting the gaseous fuel causing an explosion and/or fire. Always use a gas detector to determine the presence of gaseous fuel when maintaining and servicing. Contact your local gas provider immediately for assistance in the event of a leak.

(1) 276-6793 Pressure Sensor Gp
Install pressure sensor (1) in between the gas pressure regulator mounted on the engine and the gas supply. A No. 4 Port (7/16-20-2B) is available on the pressure sensor, and will need to be plumbed appropriately into the gas supply line.Note: Additional support may need to be provided to the gas supply lines.

(A) AI3+ (Signal)
(B) AI3- (Ground)
(C) AI3-PS (Power)
The cable connecting the pressure sensor to the operator control panel should be appropriately routed, and secured to the engine following existing wiring with cable ties. A hole will need to be added to the Operator Control Panel, and gland or cable nut installed with the cable.
The pressure sensor end will be terminated, with the following pinout on the Ampseal connector:
Pin 1 (Power)
Pin 2 (Ground)
Pin 3 (Signal)
The operator control panel end will be terminated at the following locations:
AI3-PS (Power)
AI3- (Ground)
AI3+ (Signal)Note: If shielded cable is used, the cable may be terminated to A3-SH.
