Assembly Procedure
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the assembly procedure, the interior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Install solenoid (9) . Tighten to a torque of 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).

Install coil assembly (8) and allen head screw (7) .

Install lever kit (6) into the handle.
Install pin (5) into the handle.

Install boot (4) to the handle.

Apply 155-0695 Locktite to the threads. Twist handle (3) into the work tool control and mounting assembly.
Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 4 lb ft).
Install the grommet and wire (1) into the work tool control and mounting assembly.
Repeat Steps 10 through 8 for the opposite side.

Correct installation of the handle positions the wire harness around the valve stem in order to prevent stress on the wire harness. Ensure that enough slack is provided so that the handle control can be rotated fully in all four directions without placing stress on the wire harness. Adjust the slack by sliding the plastic tab on the wire harness in order to achieve the required length.End By: Install the joystick control and mounting.
