Information:

9. Install the two lip-type seals in the retainer (12) with tooling (B). The lip of the inside seal is toward the inside. The lip of the outside seal is toward the outside.10. Install two O-ring seals (11) on retainer. Make sure the oil passages between the O-rings are clean.11. Install retainer in body.12. Put the swashplate inside the body.13. Install one of the covers with the original shims or .015 in. (0.38 mm) of shims and no O-ring seal. Install four bolts in the cover one at each corner. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 32 lb.ft. (4.4 mkg). 14. Install the other cover (14) without shims and O-ring seal. Install three bolts in the cover as shown. Tighten the bolts evenly to a torque of 40 lb.in. 46 cm.kg) while moving the swashplate backward and forward.15. Measure the gap between the cover and body with a feeler gauge (13) at the three bolt locations.16. Install shims that are the same thickness as the average gap measured plus .008 in. (0.20 mm). If the thickness of the shims is less than .005 in. (0.13 mm) or more than .025 in. (0.64 mm), add the thickness of the shims for cover (14) to the thickness of the shims for the other cover. Divide the total thickness of the shims evenly under each cover. 17. Install stop angle bar (15) from tooling (C) on the swashplate as shown. The stop angle bar must be installed with the deepest point of the two angles toward the longer bolt stop. The bar must be at a 90° angle to a line through the center of the bearings. 18. Put gauging bar (16) from tooling (C) on body with the end of the gauging bar on dowel (17) as shown.19. Install depth gauge (C) in one of the holes in the gauging bar that is directly over the deepest angle on the stop angle bar. 20. Move the swashplate until it makes contact with the shortest bolt (18) (maximum stop). 21. Measure the distance from the top of bar (16) to the angle on bar (15). Move the depth gauge to the other hole directly over the same angle on bar (15). Measure the distance from the top of bar (16) to the angle on bar (15).22. Make an adjustment to the short bolt (18) until the measured distance from the top of bar (16) to the angle on bar (15) is the same at the two holes in bar (16). When the measured distance at each of the holes in bar (16) is the same, the deepest angle on bar (15) is parallel to bar (16) and bolt (18) is at its correct adjustment. If the adjustment can not be made, the bolt (stop) on the bar is installed in an incorrect position.23. Measure the distance between bolt (18) and the body with a feeler gauge. Install shims and washers that are the same thickness as the distance measured. Install
