Start By:a. remove floor plate *b. remove bottom guards*This procedure is located in the D9L Tractor Operator's Station, Disassembly And Assembly Section. 1. Remove bolts (1) and two drive shaft guards (2).
Typical Example2. Install tooling (A) in the top of the inside of the cab. Fasten tooling (A) to the drive shaft. It is not necessary to remove the seat. 3. Remove bolts (3) and (4) from the yokes and the drive shaft. 4. Use a pry bar (6) to move drive shaft (5) from the yokes.5. Remove the drive shaft. The weight of the drive shaft is approximately 26 kg (57 lb.). The following steps are for the installation of the main drive shaft.6. Install tooling (A) in the top of the inside of the cab. Fasten tooling (A) to the drive shaft.7. Put drive shaft (5) in position. Align the keys in the drive shaft with the grooves (slots) in the yokes. Install the bolts.8. Tighten bolts (3) and (4) to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb.ft.). Tighten bolts (2) and (5) to a torque of 135 15 N m (100 11 lb.ft.).9.
