At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the fill plug only when the engine is stopped and when the fill plug is cool enough to touch with your bare hands.
Identify all hydraulic lines as they are removed for reinstallation purposes. Cap and plug all lines and fittings to prevent any contaminants from entering the hydraulic system. 1. Connect a hose to valve (1) and drain hydraulic tank (2). The capacity of the hydraulic tank is 117.5 liters (31 gallons). 2. Remove four hydraulic lines (3) from the motor. Cap or plug immediately.3. Remove two bolts and washers (4). Remove motor (5). When installing, use 9S3263 Thread Lock on the bolts. To install the vibratory motor, reverse the removal steps.4. Fill the hydraulic tank to the correct level. Refer to the Operation & Maintenance Manual KEBU6665 for correct level.Disassemble & Assemble Vibratory Motor
Start By:a. remove vibratory motor
Dirt can damage motor components. Be sure the motor is clean and free of dirt and debris prior to disassembly. Perform the disassembly and assembly procedure on a clean work bench. Scribe a line on the motor case to aid the orientation of motor components on assembly.
1. Remove O-rings (2) from the fittings.2. Remove four bolts (3) and cap (1). 3. Remove rotating group (4). 4. Remove swashplate (5). 5. Use pliers (A) to remove retaining ring (6). 6. Remove seal (11). Use pliers (A) to remove retaining ring (7).7. Place the motor in a press and remove the shaft. Remove retaining rings (12) and (13). Remove bearing (8) from shaft (10). 8. Disassemble the rotating group and inspect the parts for wear and damage. 9. Remove valve plate (15), gasket (14) and the needle bearing, if necessary. The following steps are for the assembly of the vibratory motor. 10. Use a press to install a new needle bearing if it was removed. 11. Replace gasket (14) if it was removed. Install valve plate (15) if it was removed. Note the orientation of the valve plate with pin (16). 12. Install retaining ring (13) on shaft (10). Use a press to press bearing (8) on shaft (10). Install retaining ring (12) on shaft (10).13. Place housing (9) in a press and press the shaft and bearing in the housing. Install retaining ring (7) in the housing. Install seal (11) with the lip of the seal towards the inside of the motor housing. Install retaining ring (6). 14. Assemble the rotating group. 15. Install swashplate (5). 16. Install rotating group (4) in the motor housing. 17. Position cap (1) on the motor and fasten with four bolts (3).18. Install new O-rings (2) if necessary.End By:a. install vibratory motor
