Position the drag chain so that one of the drag bars on the drag chain sprocket is facing the rear of the machine.

Remove pins (1) from adjusting rod (3). Remove adjusting rod from front takeup shaft (2) .
Insert the adjusting rod (3) into the holes of front takeup shaft (2) in order to adjust the conveyor chain.
Tighten the adjusters of the footshaft in order to remove the slack in the conveyor chain from the bottom strand. Loosen the adjusters by approximately 1/2 to 3/4 of a turn in order to provide a drop of approximately 12 to 20 mm (0.5 to 0.8 inch) between the drag bars and the rollers of the footshaft.
Place the adjusting rod in the front takeup shaft. Place pins (1) in adjusting rod (3) .
