--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------Description of Change: Improved seal rings are now used in rotating clutches, torque converters and transfer gear cases on the above models when equipped with a powershift transmission. This new ring has an angle face and a butt joint. See Illustration 1. Formerly, a ring with a hook-joint design was used.Adaptable As: Direct replacement as shown in the chart. INSTALLATION: Before the new seal rings can be installed, the bearing cage into which the ring fits must be clean and smooth. There is a correct procedure to make the ring ready for installation. Hold the ends of the ring and pull the ends as shown in Illustration 2. Be careful to keep the seal ring in the shape of a circle during this procedure. This makes an even bend (or set) around the ring. When the ring is in the groove, the ends must be in contact with each other.
