Installation Procedure
Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install gasket (36) onto the cylinder block assembly.

Position aftercooler housing (34), as shown. Install eight bolts (35) and the washers.

Install four O-ring seals (33) to aftercooler core (32).
Position a suitable lifting device to aftercooler core (32), as shown. Secure the lifting device to a suitable hoist. Install aftercooler core (32) in the aftercooler housing.

Install two adapters (29) and the O-ring seal into the aftercooler housing. Install elbow (30), as shown. Install two bolts (31).
Install two adapters (27) and O-ring seal (28) into the aftercooler housing.

Install eight bolts (26) and the washers.

Position gasket (25) (not shown) and aftercooler cover (8) on the aftercooler housing. Position wiring harness (23), four clips (24) and bracket (21) on the aftercooler cover. Install 15 bolts (22) and the washers.
Lubricate the bore of air inlet elbow (19) and the O-ring seals that are located on the inlet pipe with engine oil. Position gasket (20) (not shown) and inlet air elbow (19) on aftercooler cover (8).

Position manifold (18) on the aftercooler cover. Install two bolts (17). Connect hose assembly (16) to manifold (18). Connect tube assembly (19) to manifold (18).

Position elbow (13), as shown. Install two bolts (14) and (15) and the spacer.
Install tube assembly (11). Install bolt (12) and the washer in the clip that holds tube assembly (11).

Connect two tube assemblies (9) and (10).

Connect ether starting aid tube assembly (7) to aftercooler cover (8).

Position plate assembly (6), as shown. Install five bolts (5) and the washers.

Position support (1) on the inlet air elbow, as shown. Install two bolts (2) and the washers. Install the bolt, nut (3) and the two washers. Install the bolt, nut (4) and the washers.
Fill the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7092, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct procedure to fill the radiator. End By:
Remove the retaining ring and pin (body). Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, SENR1561, "Retaining Ring and Pin (Body) - Remove and Install".
