Removal Procedure
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
The cable weighs approximately 34 kg (75 lb).

Remove pin (5) in order to disconnect cable assembly (2) from the rear axle housing assembly.

If it is necessary to remove cable assembly (2) from the truck body, use the following procedure.
Rotate plate (1) in order to remove cable assembly (2) from storage on the truck body. Lower the cable assembly to the ground.
Remove cotter (4), pin (3), the washer and plate (1) from the truck body.
Remove two bolts (6), the washers, two nuts (7) and coupler (8).
Support the weight of cable assembly (2) with a suitable lifting device. Remove cable assembly (2) from the truck body. The cable assembly weighs approximately 34 kg (75 lb).
If it is necessary, install pin (3), the washer, cotter (4) and plate (1) to the truck body.
Rotate plate (1). Connect the end of cable assembly (2) to the truck body.
Lower the truck body. Installation Procedure

Raise the truck body.

If it is necessary to install cable assembly (2) to the truck body, use the following procedure.
Support the weight of cable assembly (2) with a suitable lifting device. Install cable assembly (2) to the truck body with two bolts (6), the washers, two nuts (7) and coupler (8). The cable assembly weighs approximately 34 kg (75 lb).
Install cotter (4), pin (3), the washer and plate (1) to the truck body.
Rotate plate (1) in order to remove cable assembly (2) from storage on the truck body.

Connect cable assembly (2) to the rear axle housing assembly with pin (5).
