The sampling valve for the hydraulic oil is located on the left side of the hydraulic tank.Use the sampling valve for the hydraulic system in order to obtain an oil sample. Each oil sample should be taken when the oil is warm and when the oil is well mixed.To avoid contamination of the oil samples, the tools and supplies that are used for obtaining oil samples must be clean.Refer to Special Publication, SEBU6250 for more information on obtaining a good oil sample. Consult your Caterpillar dealer for complete information and assistance in establishing an S O S program for your machine.
