This may lead to complaints from the operator about power or about performance. The following engine related parameters may be programmed by the customer by using Caterpillar electronic service tools in order to influence the operation of the engine:

Parameter Lock OutThe customer specified parameters can be changed as often as needed. Password protection is provided so that the customer can change the parameters. The customer can authorize someone else to change the parameters. Ensure that a record of the parameters is kept in the Operation and Maintenance Manual.
