1. Loosen nut (5) to release tension from fan belt (3). Remove bolt (1), washer and nut holding adjuster block (4) to air conditioning compressor (2). 2. Remove bolt (6), nut and washer. Remove belt (3) from air conditioning compressor (2). Move the air conditioning compressor (2) to the top of the engine. 3. Remove two bolts (8) connecting the upper fan guard (9) and the lower fan guard (10). Remove eight bolts (7) and washers. Remove both guards.4. Loosen two bolts (11) that hold the alternator in place. Push the alternator toward the engine to release tension on the fan belts. 5. Remove four bolts (14) and washers that hold the fan (13) and pulley (12) to the water pump. Remove fan (13) and pulley (12). Use special care when removing the fan. Any damage to the fan blades can cause an imbalance situation within the engine causing vibration and causing potential damage to the water pump. Install in reverse order.
