1. Drain the oil from the crankcase.2. Remove the guard assembly from the left side of the engine. 3. Remove the oil filter with tool (A). 4. Remove the bolts and clip that hold inlet tube assembly (1) to the cylinder block and oil base. Remove the bolts that hold outlet tube assembly (3) to the cylinder block and the oil filter base. Remove the tube assembly.5. Remove the four bolts that hold the oil filter base (2) to the oil cooler. Remove the base.6. Check the condition of the two O-ring seals in the top of the base. If the seals have damage, use new parts for replacement.Install Oil Filter And Base
1. Install two O-ring seals (1) in the base. Put oil filter base (2) in position on the oil cooler and install the four bolts that hold it.2. Install the inlet and outlet tube assemblies in the oil filter base and the cylinder block. 3. Install a new oil filter (3). Follow the instructions with the filter for the correct installation procedure.4. Fill the crankcase with oil to the correct level. See Lubrication and Maintenance Guide.Disassemble Oil Filter Base

1. Install plunger (4), spring (3), cover (2) and bolts (1) of bypass valve for oil cooler in oil filter base.2. Install plunger (7), spring (6), cover (5) and bolts of bypass valve for oil filter in oil filter base.end by:a) install oil filter base
