This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4760" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the March 5, 1999 (Revised July 1999) Service Letter. Changes have been made to the TERMINATION DATE.

Move the machine to a safe working area and lower the screed to the ground.
Turn the ignition switch and the main disconnect switch to the off position.
This machine is equipped with electronic controls. Proper-welding procedures must be followed. Refer to Service Magazine dated Novemeber 3, 1997, "Proper Welding Procedure On Machines And Engines With Electronic Controls".
1. Disassemble both 112-9211 armrest assemblies from the handrail base.2. Drill two holes in each armrest (Illustration 1).3. Remove the 3W-7412 rubber bumpers from the handrail base.4. Remove the 112-7967-handrail base from the frame.5. Modify the 112-7967-handrail base by adding two additional 14.2mm holes B and C, and enlarging the slot length to 1.75' (Illustration 2).6. Modify the handrail base by welding plate 168-7922 to the base and grind a chamfer on the base (Illustration 3).7. Reinstall the 112-9211 handrail and base using 5P-2566 bolts and 8T-4223 washers.8. Remove the 134-8035-cam lever and associated hardware from the platform base. This will not be reinstalled on the platform.
9. Move the console assembly to the center of the machine and remove the two 108-4694 clamp assemblies from the console base.10. Remove the four 102-2889 platform rollers from the platform, replace with new 170-3495 cam rollers and install 7S-9868 grease fittings on cam rollers.11. Modify only the rear clamp assembly 108-4694 by cutting a notch on the left bottom side of the clap (Illustration 4).12. Assemble the modified clamp assembly
