Installation Procedure
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Position heating and air conditioning unit (15). Install bolts (16 ). Tighten bolts (16) to a torque of 22 2 N m (16 2 lb ft). Connect harness assemblies (17), (18), and (19). Install cover (14). Install ducts (12) and (13).

Position support assembly (11) and harness assemblies (10) . Install bolts (6). Connect harness assemblies (10) onto clips (9). Connect harness assemblies (7) and (8).

Connect hose assemblies (4). Tighten hose assembly (4) to a torque of 10 2 N m (89 18 lb in). Connect hoses (5).

Open heater valves (3) and (2).
Close the engine hood.

Install sheet assembly (1).
Charge the air conditioner system with refrigerant. Refer to Service Manual, SENR5664, "Air Conditioning and Heating Systems with R-134a Refrigerant" for the correct procedure. Refer to Special Publication, NEDG5065, "Air Conditioning Tools" for the correct tools. End By:
Install the storage box and covers. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Storage box and Covers (Cab) - Remove and Install" .
