At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Be sure all the hydraulic pressure is released before any fittings, hoses or components are loosened, tightened, removed or adjusted.
d. Carefully loosen the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.e. Carefully loosen the plugs at the rear of the tilt cylinder. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two plugs. To release the pressure in the attachment cylinders, carefully loosen the two large plugs near the plugs at the top of the loader frame. When the oil from the loosened plugs stops draining, tighten the two large plugs.f. Tighten the filler cap on the hydraulic oil tank.g. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released.
View From Under Machine4. Disconnect grease hose (2) and hose (1) from the head end of the steering cylinder. 5. Disconnect hose (3) from the rod end of the steering cylinder. 6. Remove bolt (5), the spacer and pin (4) from the rod end of the steering cylinder. 7. Remove bolt (6), the spacer and pin (7) from the head end of the steering cylinder. 8. Put steering cylinder (8) in position as shown. Using two persons, move the cylinder toward the rear (engine end) of the machine. Remove the steering cylinder. The weight of the steering cylinder is approximately 41 kg (90 lb.).9. Remove the other steering cylinder as in Steps 4 through 8. The following steps are for the installation of the steering cylinders.10. Put 5P0960 Multipurpose Grease in the pin bores for the steering cylinder in the front loader frame and the rear loader frame. Also, lubricate the bores in the steering cylinder.11. Using two person, put steering cylinder (8) in position in the machine.12. Put pin (7) in the head end of the steering cylinder. Install spacer (4) and bolt (2) that holds the pin in position.13. Put pin (5) in the rod end of the steering cylinder. Install the spacer and bolt (6) that holds the pin in position.14. Check the condition of the O-ring seal used in the end of hose (3). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement. Install the O-ring seal in the end of the hose, and connect it at the rod end of the steering cylinder.15. Check the condition of the O-ring seal used in the end of hose (1). If the seal is worn or damaged, use a new part for replacement. Install the O-ring seal in the end of the hose, and connect it and grease hose (2) at the head end of the steering cylinder.16. Install the other steering cylinder as in Steps 10 through 15.17. Fill the hydraulic oil tank with oil to the correct level. Lubricate the
