Removal Procedure
Start By:
Purge the air from the air tank. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Air Tank Moisture and Sediment - Drain".
Personal injury can result from removing hoses or fittings in a pressure system.Failure to relieve pressure can cause personal injury.Do not remove or disconnect hoses or fittings until all pressure in the air system has been relieved.
Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the removal procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal components. Install caps and plugs on all openings in order to prevent dirt or debris from entering the system.

Put identification marks on all hose assemblies for installation purposes. Disconnect hoses (1), hoses (2), hoses (3), and hose (4) from relay valves (6).
Remove four bolts (5) in order to remove relay valves (6) from the back of the air tank and the steering tank.

Disconnect three hoses (7), (8) and (9) from relay valve (11) and air pressure protection valve (12).
Remove two bolts (10) in order to remove relay valve (11) from the front of the air tank.
