Start By:a. remove radiator, oil cooler and guard (earlier), or remove radiator and guard (later)1. Remove the air conditioning compressor V-belt and the two alternator V-belts.
Typical Example2. Remove six bolts (1) and pulley (3) from the hub.3. Loosen bolt (2) until there is approximately 3.2 mm (.125 in.) space between washer (4) and the crankshaft pulley face.
Typical Example4. Install tooling (A) and loosen hub (5) from the crankshaft.5. Remove tooling (A). Remove bolt (2), washer (4) and hub (5) from the crankshaft. The following steps are for installation of the crankshaft pulley.6. Put hub (5) in position on the crankshaft. Install washer (4) and bolt (2). Tighten the bolt to a torque of 312 27 N m (231 20 lb.ft.). Hit the bolt with a hammer and tighten it again to a torque of 312 27 N m (231 20 lb.ft.).7. Install pulley (3) and six bolts (1) that hold it in position on the crankshaft pulley.8. Put the air conditioning compressor V-belt in position on the crankshaft pulley, belt tightener and air conditioning compressor. Adjust the tension on the V-belt.
