start by:a) remove fan 1. Remove oil drain tube (2) for the fan drive.2. Remove bolts (3) from crankshaft pulley (1).3. Install one 1/2"-13 NC x 5" long guide pin.4. Slide the vibration damper out on the guide pin far enough to fasten a hoist. Remove the guide bolt and vibration damper. Weight of vibration damper is 52 lb. (23.6 kg). 5. Remove the three bolts and retainer (4). Put tool (A) on retainer (4) as shown. Install tool (A) and retainer on the crankshaft. Tighten the three bolts in center.
The retainer must be in position on crankshaft before pulling hub.
6. Install tooling (B) and loosen the hub on the crankshaft.7. Remove tooling (B), retainer and hub.Install Vibration Damper And Hub
1. Put hub (1) in position on the crankshaft.2. Install the retainer and bolts. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 130 12 lb.ft. (18.0 1.7 mkg).3. Hit the bolts with a hammer and tighten the bolts again to the above torque. 4. Fasten a hoist and put the vibration damper (2) in front of the crankshaft. Install a 1/2"-13 NC x 5" long guide pin through the vibration damper and into the crankshaft.5. Remove the hoist and slide the vibration damper into position on crankshaft.6. Remove the guide pin and install the pulley. Tighten the bolts in pulley to a torque of 75 10 lb.ft. (10.4 1.4 mkg).7. Install the oil drain tube for the fan drive.end by:a) install fan
