start by: a) remove oil pan and oil pump1. Remove the oil pump suction bell, screen and elbow. 2. Remove the oil pump bypass diffuser (1), spring and valve (2). Remove the bypass valve body (3).3. Remove baffle (4). Remove cotter pin, nut and washer from the shaft. 4. Remove the drive gear from the shaft with tooling (A).5. Remove key and cover (5). Remove the scavenge pump gears (6) and key. Remove cover (7) and body (8).6. Remove the oil pump shafts (9) and plate (10). Remove the bearings from the end covers.Assemble Oil Pump
1. Install the bearings in the end covers with tooling (A). 2. Install the two shafts in the cover.3. Install pump body and spacer on cover.4. Install key, gears and pump body on shafts.5. Install cover, locks and bolts.6. Install key, drive gear, washer and nut. Tighten nut to a torque of 100 lb. (13.8 mkg) plus amount to get the cotter pin hole in alignment.7. Install baffle, locks and bolts.8. Install the bypass valve body, valve, spring and diffuser.9. Install elbow, screen and suction bell.end by: a) install oil pan and oil pump
