1. Remove spacer (1) from top of bearing.2. Remove bolts (2) and upper cap (3). 3. Put a floor jack in position under lower cap (5). Remove the three bolts (4) from the lower cap. 4. Remove lower cap (5), upper bearing cone (6), lower bearing cone and lower bearing cup (7). Weight is 85 lb. (39 kg). 5. Remove the upper bearing cup (8) from the frame with a punch and hammer.6. Remove the lip type seals from upper and lower caps.Install Lower Pivot Pin Bearings
1. Install the seals in upper and lower caps. The lip of the seals must be away from the bearing cones when installed.2. Put multipurpose type grease on the lip of the seals and bearing cones. 3. Install the upper bearing cup (1) in the frame.4. Put the bearing cones, lower bearing cup and lower cap on a floor jack. Lift the bearing cones, cup and cap into position in frame and install the three bolts in lower cap to hold it in place. 5. Install upper cap (2) on frame. Install four bolts evenly spaced. Tighten the bolts evenly to a torque of 130 5 lb.ft. (18.0 0.7 mkg).6. Check to be sure lower cap (4) is tight against the frame and the upper cap has about the same distance between frame and cap at the four bolt locations.7. Measure the gap between the upper cap and frame at the four bolt locations with feeler gauge (3).8. Remove the upper cap (3) and install shims equal to the minimum measured gap.9. Install the bolts in the upper cap and tighten to a torque of 150 20 lb.ft. (20.7 2.8 mkg). 10. Install upper spacer (5) in upper cap.end by: a) connection of loader main frames
