This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3089" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3089" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the November 19, 1997 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the Parts Needed.

The tubes in the front brake oil cooler (118-4487 Core As.) in some 793C Off Highway Trucks may break causing engine coolant to mix with brake cooling oil. The oil cooler on these trucks needs to be reworked.

Rework Procedure
To prevent cross contamination of systems in the event the tube breakage, block the seven cooler tubes next to the hydraulic oil inlet and outlet ports.
Apply 4C-9507 Compound to 154-9826 Rod and insert one into each of the seven tubes.
Install a 030-9613 screw coated with 4C9507 compound into each end of each tube.
Tighten screws 5 mm into tube, or until tube starts to move in the rubber end sheet.
Remove heads of screws on both ends of tubes 2, 4, and 6 with a small grinder to provide clearance.
