Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Inspect the condition of the O-ring seals and the flange gasket. Replace the seals and the gasket, if necessary.

Install the O-ring seal on water pump (6) . Lubricate the bore lightly with clean engine oil.
Lubricate the O-ring seals with coolant and install the O-ring seals on tube assembly (2) . Install tube assembly (2) on water pump (6) .
Position water pump (6) and tube assembly (2) in the front housing. Install bolts (10) and the washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).
Position the flange gasket between tube assembly (2) and the water temperature regulator housing. Install bolts (1) and the washers. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 28 7 N m (21 5 lb ft).
Install hose (5) and tighten hose clamps (4) .
Place a new cable strap (3) on tube assembly (2) in order to hold the harness assembly.
Install bolts (9) and washers into the alternator bracket.
Install oil level gauge (7) with bolt (8) and the washer.
Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".End By:
Install the engine oil cooler. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Cooler - Install".
Install the belt tensioner. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Belt Tensioner - Remove and Install".
Install the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".
