SMCS Codes: 4251; 4267SUBJECT: Some 157-6186 Duo-cone Seals For Large Off-Highway Trucks May Contain the Wrong Toric Rings
PROBLEM:
Some 157-6186 Duo-cone seals may contain incorrect toric rings. The incorrect seals will contain black toric rings. The toric ring in this seal should be red-orange in color.
This problem affects Morton parts only and is believed to be limited to a date code of 02/21/05.

SOLUTION:
If the toric ring in this seal is black, do not use it. Replace the incorrect toric ring with a 157-6183 that is red-orange in color or return the seal to Morton for credit. Please refer to this publication number when returning any defective parts.
